MK Bezalel Smotrich (Jewish Home) and MK Yoav Kish (Likud) submitted a bill, which provides for annexing all settlement areas in the occupied Palestinian West Bank to the so-called “Israel’s sovereignty”. As an initial step, the bill was officially listed on the Knesset agenda on Monday, 5 February. Later, the initiators will present the bill to the government to state its position and decide whether the draft regulation enters into force.

Nova Poker, Yoav Kish, and David Bitan (all MKs for the Likud party), proposed a bill that provides for amending Article 96 of the Penal Law of 1977. The amendment allows that capital punishment or indefinite imprisonment for life be imposed on Arab Palestinian combatants if they carry out operations, which result in the killing of Israelis.
