This week, the Israeli cabinet approved the State budget and the financial plan for 2019. The size of this budget is NIS 397.3 billion; NIS 60 billion of which is allocated for education, NIS 38 billion for health, NIS 13 billion welfare for Holocaust survivors and NIS 2 billion allocated for disability. While NIS 63 billion were allocated to Defence Ministry.
This bulletin covers the period period 8 – 11 January 2018. Israeli social media networks got caught up on two issues. The more significant of the two was one about recordings documenting the Prime Minister’s son, Yair Netanyahu, exposing his father’s shady deals while in a strip club.
This bulletin covers the period from 1 – 7 January 2018; through which Israeli social media was preoccupied with two issues. The first is the approving of the death penalty bill.
The Knesset approved the first reading of the death penalty bill last Wednesday. The voting was 52 to 49 in favour of the bill, of 120 which is the total number of MKs in the Israeli Knesset.
This bulletin covers the period 28 – 31 December 2017, the social media was buzzing with a number of issues, starting with the discussions over approving the bill of Recommendations Law.
