A weekly newsletter monitoring key issues in the new media of Israel 9-11 November 2017

The current issue deals with the period between 9-11-17 and 11-11-17, when the Israeli virtual world occupied two main topics. The first comprised the investigations with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the second dealt with the attack by the daily Israeli Hume news-paper over the Palestinian news-paper Makboula Nassar.

On the first issue, the investigations with Netanyahu returned to the forefront of the Israeli virtual world, especially after an additional investigation session held on Thursday, as well as an interview by journalist Ilana Dayan with his attorney Yaakov Vinnarout, where the latter presented a courageous meeting - according to the virtual world - discussing the prime minister’s dealing with the corruption cases filed against him as well as other matters.

On the second issue, the Israeli Hume news-paper launched a pungent attack on journalist Makboula Nassar on Wednesday morning. The attack was lodged one week after Nassar was appointed director of the road safety awareness unit. Reasons were told to be in association with her political views.

The newspaper claimed within a report formulated against Nassar that the latter demonstrates an active figure within a variety of acts against Zionism and the State of Israel, that she is active in various organizations supporting the Palestinians and that she is a member in the association defending the rights of the displaced.
