A weekly newsletter monitoring key issues in the new media of Israel 23-26 July 2017

This issue covers the period 23-26 July 2017. Israeli online networks were engaged with a significant number of topics. These included the operation that took place in the Halamish settlement, leaving three settlers of the Solomon family dead. Online networks showed solidarity with and extended their condolences to the family, demanding revenge.

Online networks also addressed the death of Singer Amir Fryszer Guttman, who drowned on the Atlit beach near Haifa. They expressed their sadness for his death. Guttman died after he had chemical therapy following an erroneous diagnosis with cancer.
