Bezalel Smotrich, MK for the Jewish Home party, submitted a bill, which provides for annexing all the areas of settlements in the occupied West Bank to the so-called “Israeli sovereignty”.
As an initial step, the bill was formally placed on the Knesset agenda on Monday, 19 February. Later, initiators will decide to present the bill to the government to state its position and decide whether the draft regulation enters into force.
This bill is associated with a political decision to be made by the Israeli government. The latter will decide if the bill will be practically applicable to the West Bank as a whole. The bill is identical to Bills 5104 and 5105.
