(This law is superfluous since it is already part of the existing Elections Law. It can be considered a political statement as it does not apply to settlers who are involved in terrorism).
Bill Proposed by: Anat Berko (Likud)
Bill No. 3218/20/F
(A bill providing for more reasons that “allow” the Israeli Interior Minister to revoke the “residency” permits of residents of occupied Jerusalem and Golan. Amongst the “reasons” is obtaining citizenships of other countries including Gaza Strip).
Bill Proposed by: Amir Ohana and others
Bill No. 4744/20/F
(A bill aggravates sentences against anyone who criticises the Israeli occupying army as a whole, not just a soldier. From an Israeli perspective, this tarnishes the army’s reputation. According to the bill, a person or organisation will be charged with “libel and defamation”. Clearly, the bill targets Israeli and other human rights organisations, which publish reports on crimes.)
