A weekly newsletter monitoring key issues in the new media of Israel 22-24 April 2018

The Newsletter 'Following up on the New Media in Israel' is monitoring what is written and published in the new media space in the Israeli public sphere. The newsletter sheds light on the most important issues that arise and how to interact with them, and focuses on the statements and testaments of politicians, journalists and activists in the Israeli sphere from left to right. In addition, the Newsletter monitors manifestations of racism in Israeli society, which has been increasing recently.

The issue of the Newsletter covers the period of 22-24 April 2018:

 1. Shooting and chasing of children and teenagers in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

2. Natalie Portman, a famous Israeli actress, declines an invitation to receive an award in Israel citing Israel’s recent political positions.
3. The request of certain deputies to remove Knesset member Haneen Zoabi from her position.
4. The issue of stopping official deputies from traveling abroad at the expense of organizations deemed anti-Israeli.
