"Garin Torani" (or Torah Nucleus) refers to groups of religious and extremist individuals who settle in the heart of Israeli cities with the aim of Judaizing them. These groups have two main goals: to besiege the secular culture of Israelis and to combat the Palestinian presence in coastal cities. In this episode, we host Abdel Qader Badawi, a researcher at the Palestinian Center for Israeli Studies – Madar, to explain the rise of the Torah Nucleus and the role of the Oslo Accords in this phenomenon. He will particularly address the "Rosh Yehudi" nucleus that is active in Tel Aviv, highlighting how it creates friction, sometimes violent, with secular Israelis.
