In April 18 and 19, clashes erupted between the Palestinian residents of Jaffa and extremist Jewish groups belonging to a Torat Nucleus in the city, following attempts by Rabbi Eliyahu Mali to purchase properties from the original residents of Jaffa. What are the underlying causes of these clashes, and why did they occur at this particular time? To discuss the housing issue in Jaffa, the role of Israeli extremist right-wing groups, and the Israeli police's response, we are joined by Knesset member Sami Abu Shehadeh, a native of Jaffa.
