Bill No. 5282/20/F

MK Amir Ohana from the Likud party and others submitted a bill, demanding that amounts be deducted from Palestinian tax revenues to cover compensations, which Israeli courts ordered to be paid to Israelis.

The bill puts an end to a dispute between the Ministry of Finance, MKs from the coalition parties, and the government over another law, which provides for expropriating Palestinian tax revenues. In the opinion of professionals at the Ministry of Finance, funds may be withheld. However, the ministry officials refuse to disburse funds to pay compensations to Israelis.
It is possible that the bill be enacted into a law.
