On November 22, 2017, the Knesset Plenum passed a bill proposed by Likud MK Yuval Kish, granting the court the right to fine a party calling for a boycott of Israel with a public fine of NIS 500,000, equivalent to 142 thousand American dollars, without the need to prove the damage of such a submission.

Voting
The bill won the support of 60 deputies from the coalition blocs and 8 deputies of the "There is a Future" opposition bloc. This is whereas there has been a joint opposition of 40 deputies from the "Zionist camp" bloc, "The Joint List" and "Meretz".
