Abstract
At the instructions of Israeli Minister of Education Naftali Bennett (also leader of the Jewish Home party), Professor Asa Kasher published the Code of Ethics for Lecturers at Israeli Universities.
Kasher himself drafted the Code of Ethics for the Israeli army. Accordingly, the Israeli army justified its persecution of Palestinian civilians. According to the Code of Ethics of the Israeli army, targeting Palestinian civilians is justified to defend the lives of Israeli soldiers, giving the army an “ethical” excuse to shell and kill Palestinian civilians in the course of battles and persecutions throughout the Palestinian territory occupied in 1967. Bennett asked Kasher to draft a code of ethics for lecturers at Israeli universities, which has been published recently.
